Bill and Laura had their intimate ceremony and reception at the most gorgeous home in Dandridge, TN. It overlooks Douglas Lake and definitely makes for a stunning lakeside venue! Laura’s sister, Lisa, cooked most of the delicious food that was served at the reception. Laura actually prepared the yummy salad for the meal, which I thought was hilarious. Laura’s Mom created all of the floral arrangements and the rest of the family and friends set up everything for this sweet couple. Laura and Bill are surrounded by a wonderful community that loves them so much and wanted to give them the most amazing wedding day! It was such a wonderful and peaceful day. It’s also an extra great day when we get to work with our good friend, Todd Turpin, with Fam Vid!

When I first spoke with Laura she mentioned that she probably wasn’t my typical bride. She found her soulmate and true love a lot later in life! She waited many years to find God’s best for her and I’m sure Bill was worth the very long wait. I could tell from the short time we were able to connect that Bill is so incredibly kind, has a deep faith and love for the Lord and is so committed to his family! Bill and Laura’s love for each other and for Jesus shined through every moment and was the highlight of their beautiful ceremony.

My two favorite moments of the day revolved around prayer. Before the ceremony, Laura’s girls prayed over her and I loved seeing the sweet friendships and long histories with these precious ladies. While they were praying for her, I couldn’t help but think of Proverbs 18:22, “He that finds a wife finds a good thing!” The second moment was after communion, Bill leaned over and led his sweet bride in prayer! Bill certainly found an amazing woman of strong character and faith in Laura! We are so thrilled and excited for this new season of life for them!
